Prof. Kyparissia Papanikolaou visited GSIC-EMIC research group from the 2nd to the 5th of March 2019. During her visit, the members of the group shared with her their progress in their research lines and PhD. thesis works, to which she provided valuable feedback.
Additionally, she shared among the members of the group her recents work during a presentation titled “Design for personalizing and gamifying learning at community level”. During the presentation she explored the concerns and considerations regarding (i) the personalization at individual and group/community level, by means of Open Learner Models and Learning Analytics; (ii) Learning Design informed by learning theory with peer-evaluation to promote interaction among designers; and (iii) gamification at individual and community level in order to motivate students and cultivate the sense of a Community of Inquiry.
